I'ts been a while
12/12/07 1 CommentI have such a tendancy to go MIA for a while and that is due to the fact that life happens and things have been pretty busy for me. We (WildFire Youth and us Youth Leaders) have been in rehearsal for weeks now. We are doing a presentation this Sunday and I am so excited because we have worked so hard and I feel it is going to be awesome !!! Not only that, my church annual Christmas party is this Friday and WildFire Youth annual Christmas party is this Sunday evening, Praise Team practice is this Thursday and WildFire's last rehearsal is this Saturday afternoon... Whew !!! Busy busy busy ....!!
As much as I like to have fun, I will certainly be glad when all of this is over and I can hopefully get some rest. I have been on the go for the past several weeks and I can tell my body is in need of rest. However, what you do for Christ will always last and He does take care of us in the time of blessings and needs. But you can rest assured, I will certainly be demanding some down time for myself after all of this is over !!!...
Well, here's to a busy but fun filled weekend and also to some majorly needed down time for me ...YEA :-) !!!!

Arrogant Attorney's :-( !!
10/25/07 2 CommentsHave you ever just wanted to pimp slap someone into yesterday ?!!!... This morning was going great, up until this attorney (who will remain nameless) walked into my office to check in for his case. Talk about attitude from the pit of hell !!...First, he starts talking about how he needs to wrap things up quickly because he has a trial to get to in the adjacent building. Then he starts complaining about people not showing up for court on time....
Then he starts targeting my Magistrate.....THAT is a NO NO with me !!! I respectfully warned him, but he continued to be antaganistic. I finally had had enough of his foolish behavior and cussed him out as if I were in a bar room brawl !!! For me to show this kind of aggression here at work is way out of character. Because, I believe in being professional at all times. But no matter how respectful I was with him, he continued to antaganize, and that was the straw that broke the camels back so I ripped him new one !!!
Right after the heated argument with the attorney, I called my brother and asked him to please pray for me before I try to slaughter this attorney. My brother was successfully able to calm me down. I told him what happened and he just kept me calm so that I would not lose it any further. There were 3 other attorneys in the court room when this incident happened, they came into my office to see if I was okay.
Each of the 3 attorneys that were present during this, told me how way out of line they felt the other attorney was and that they agreed with me that he was very rude and disrespectful and should not have treated me like he did. They each felt that he deserved the rebuke I gave him !! One of the attorneys that witnessed the incident, said that the worst thing an attorney can do is piss off a court officer !! Because, they ( court officers ) have the power to either make or break an attorney !!
Well, the plot thickins !!!...The antaganistic attorney made his way back to my Magistrate to talk about his case with opposing counsel. What do you think he did when he got back in chambers ?!! This DUMB idiot got smart with my Magistrate !! I had just cussed him out and come to find out, my Magistrate said that she cussed him out as well and kicked him out of her office !! How funny is that !!!
What a morning !!! Well, I hope everyone else is having a much better day and I pray that the rest of my day is peacefull !! Tina

Wow, its been a while
10/10/07 2 CommentsWow !! It has been a while since I have blogged anything. I have been so busy lately. We (WildFire Youth & Us Youth Leaders) are in the middle of rehearsal. We are working on a play for Christmas and so far, I believe this is going to be one Awesome play!! It makes me very happy to see how excited the kids are in wanting to rehearse and learn their parts, etc...
I must say, I am really proud of the kids. I know they are not perfect and they do make mistakes, as some of them have. But it does not remove the love I have for them in my heart and how so very proud I am of them.
Wildfire Youth is approaching its 1 year anniversary in November and the kids have hung in there. They have participated in all the fund raisers, they've attended all the youth outtings and have been in full attendance for every Youth Service. Now that's Awesome !!!
Sometime in November, we (Youth Leaders) are going to have a lock in at the church. We are going to have Certificates made up for each of the kids and we are also going to present them with purity/promise rings. It will be like a right of passage for them. The lock in will also include workshops to empower our youth and after that, we will do popcorn and a movie... This is still in the planning and there will be more things in store for the kids on that particular night. I cannot wait to present them with their certificates and promise rings. It will give them something to be proud of, knowing that they have accomplished this and yet, it will apply some level of responsibility to them to be Leaders and not followers. Well, I could go on and on and on about Wildfire youth and how proud I am of them. But I will stop for now....

Yoga Booty Ballette !!
9/4/07 1 CommentMy weekend was awesome !!... Spent this weekend with friends and family. My brother, his wife and kids came up from Cincinnati and we had a weekend of movies, BBQ, and lots of fun and laughter. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect, the food was perfect,..... It just wasn't long enough !! Tuesday just had to happen.. Dang blasted !! heehee :-)
Well over the weekend, my niece, my sister, and myself decided to workout. We had been putting it off way to long and we had to make a start on getting ourselves back in shap. So we decided to do this on Monday afternoon (Labor Day). The workout CD was called Yoga Booty Ballette and let me tell you..... this form of Yoga is easy to do... BUT ! and I do mean BUT !! It will work every muscle in your body and if you are out of shape like I am....you will certainly be ready to colapse in the floor just only working out half way through the CD.
We made it through half of the CD and had to quit !! I was drenched in sweat , sore and tired and couldn't take it any longer. However, I do not give up that easy on something I set my mind to do !! I will continue on with a light workout routine this week until Saturday. This Saturday will be the continuation of the Yoga Booty Ballette workout..... Help Jesus !! heeheeheehee :-) !!!
I intend to master the Yoga Booty Ballette workout until I am well adjusted and able to do it with ease and move on to the next level.... Oh Lawd !! I know I can do it, I used to be a gymnist, so I know that as long as I do not over do it, pace myself and stay consistent ... I can ROCK this !!!!

8/16/07 4 CommentsWhat a surprise my coworker Lisa and I got today !!! It all started with several emails on where we all wanted to go for lunch. Since we hadn't gone out for lunch in a while, we all decided to do something for fun and go have lunch some where other than in our offices. Well, I was told to meet over at Lisa's office and then we would all leave from there. As we all gathered over to Lisa's office, one person was missing so we decided to go look for them. (not realizing that this was a ploy to get Lisa and I to the party)
Well, as our small group headed over to Robin's court room, I noticed something on the door. As I got closer, it said "Congrats on Graduating" when I saw that I had a major Scooby Doo moment :-) !!!... As we entered the court room ... to Lisa and my surprise, the room was filled with our fellow coworkers, and the room was decorated with a big banner that said Congratulations on Graduating and there was a large cake with Lisa and my name on it. Lisa and I were soooo surprised because we were not expecting this big party for us !!!
I kept asking people "Did you know about this?" and they all responded "Yes we did!" This was the best kept secret ever and it really made me and Lisa's day. I must say, I do work with some of the best coworkers ever and now that I have my degree, and will eventually find that dream job in my area of study, I know I will miss them very much.
Don't get me wrong, we do have our moments here where we get on one anothers nerves, but we make up quick and move on. Its like one big family of brothers and sisters. I was going to apply for another job that is 3 floors up, however, I have heard that the atmosphere there is not worth risking my health for and with that being said, I believe I will look elsewhere for a job in my area of study. Ain't no job worth risking your health for, I would rather stay here where I am currently and be happy, than to work in an atmosphere that is dangerous to my health.
Other than that, I am truly grateful, because God just keeps on blessing me and I thank Him so much for it. I know that the right job will open up for me and God will allow me to get it and when that happens I will have peace over it.
